Frequently Asked Questions
Have Any Questions For Us?
Below are answers to some of the questions I’m most commonly asked about appointments, referrals, Medicare, Telehealth and therapy. If your question isn’t answered here, please feel free to contact me

Do I need a referral?
No.
You are welcome to book an appointment directly.
If you wish to claim Medicare rebates, you’ll need a valid Mental Health Care Plan and referral from your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician.
Who do you see?
I provide therapy for older adolescents (16 years and over) and adults.
What happens in the first appointment?
Our first appointment is an opportunity to get to know one another.
We’ll explore what has brought you to therapy, discuss your current concerns, your background, and what you hope to gain from our work together.
By the end of the session we’ll have begun developing a shared understanding of your experiences and can discuss the most appropriate way forward.
How do you approach therapy?
Therapy is a collaborative process grounded in understanding before intervention.
My work is informed by several evidence-based psychological approaches, including CBT, ACT and DBT. Rather than following a predetermined formula, therapy develops through careful formulation, reflection and ongoing collaboration, allowing us to respond thoughtfully to your individual circumstances and what matters most to you.
Do you offer Telehealth?
Yes.
Telehealth appointments are available where clinically appropriate.
How long are appointments?
Standard appointments are 50 minutes.
Longer appointments can be arranged as needed.
